Outerwear sketches

These are my first sketches / concepts which I will further develop and draw inspiration from. 

Here I have focussed on outerwear to kickstart my collection, including some pant designs and mid layers. 

These five coats are designed for warmth. Made from 100% wool or leather for the sleeves on design one. On the third design I will look into possibly using faux fur or perhaps wool also. Design four would perhaps be a heavy polyester as would design five with a wool blend. Once again I have incorporated the oversized boyfriend silhouette. 

Here I have designed everyday jackets which would be practical and warm as well as avoiding being too heavy, these could be more seen as wind protecting jackets on those autumn days. 

For these four designs I was inspired by the 'oversized boyfriend' style coat whilst adding a feminine finish. The color range would not be too out there, for winter I would like to focus my pieces on basic colors. 

For these coat sketches I have tried to incorporate practicality for everyday wear, they would be made with heavy fabrics such as wool, or polyester and rayon blends for warmth. 

I started with quick sketches of basic outerwear garments such as coats, jackets, capes, cropped jackets, blazers etc.
