High end market research

For my collection I am aiming to target the higher end of the diffusion market at an age range of 15-35. I am looking to continue to create high quality upper market clothing, for everyday wear and practicality, however at a reasonable enough price yet not targeting the lower mass market. With my collection I am aiming for a cohesive collection with many pieces that can be easily mixed and matched. The garments will be well made and to an obviously high quality standard however in order to design this for a diffusion line I will need to be careful in the fabric selections I make as it will need to be made in larger quantities than couture collections. I am also aiming to incorporate sustainability by using 100% wool and 100% organic fair trade cotton fabrics in majority of my designs.

Here are some diffusion lines in a similar market to mine.

All these collections provide a range of outerwear and since we are designing for Autumn/Winter I am going to focus my beginning designs on outerwear and try to combine aspects from these different collections into mine to create something new and different. For my collection I will focus on prints as I did in my previous one and incorporate them just like Marc Jacobs and Chloe' have here. I will also focus on silhouette like Marc Jacobs and Line and hems like Wang has. For my outerwear inspiration Pre Line shows a varying range of outerwear with heavy warm fabrics which I will need to consider cost wise with my designs.
